Myth : Epilepsy is contagious

Fact   : Epilepsy is not contagious and can not spread from one to another

Myth : Epilepsy is hereditary and start only in childhood

Fact   : Only small percentage of Epilepsy is hereditary it can happen at any age

Myth : When a person has a seizures they can swallow their tongue.

Fact   : One can never swallow their tongue and nothing should be placed in a patient's mouth when they are having a seizure
